Pineapple Ginger Smoothie

This is the most refreshing smoothie I have ever had.

The taste of fresh ginger is absolutely wonderful!

Best part is, my 9 year old loved it.

I love making healthy things the whole family can enjoy, so

this will continue to be on the menu this summer.

The original recipe that I found needed a little tweaking, so I added

another cup of ice cubes & about 2-3 tbs of local honey.

The extra ice helped make the smoothie cold, while the honey gave it

that little extra sweet taste it was lacking.

All in all, it’s fantastic!!


1 1/2 cups diced fresh pineapple
1 banana
1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup pineapple juice or water

Add extra ice & honey if desired.

Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth.  

Serve immediately.

Enjoy outside on the patio!
